Originally opened in 1999 at a cost of $800 million, the 32-story building houses a massive 3.2 million-square-foot resort, making it the tallest and largest building in Mississippi. With 3,800+ employees, it is also the largest employer in the Biloxi area, plus it holds the distinction of having the most table games, guest rooms, and meeting space of any property on the Gulf Coast.
In March 2019 the resort celebrated its 20th anniversary. “Beau Rivage is proud of the role it has played in the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s tourism development, economic growth and quality of life over the past 20 years, and we look forward to the next 20,” said Beau Rivage CFO Paul Heard, who has been with the company since its opening in March 1999. “As Biloxi’s largest private-sector employer for 20 straight years, MGM Resorts is committed to the Mississippi Gulf Coast market and continues to focus on the guest experience and driving more visitors to the region.”

If you’ve ever been to the Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas you may have a sense of deja vu when you first walk into the Beau’s casino. Both properties are owned by MGM Resorts
International and they share a similar ambiance of luxury. The Beau’s 76,000-square-foot casino features 85 table games, 1,800 electronic gaming machines, a 16-table smoke-free poker room, plus
a Sports Book & Bar offering straight bets, parlays, totals, money lines, teasers and more. M Life Rewards members can use their cards at the casino and earn cashback or comps that can be
redeemed at the Beau or any of the other MGM Resorts International properties throughout the U.S.
For “high-rollers” there is also a separate salon functioning as a ‘casino within a casino’ that includes 10 blackjack tables and an interchangeable table for roulette or baccarat; a high-limit slot room with 100 machines; an exclusive buffet and bar lounge; dedicated cashier services; private restrooms and round-the-clock concierge service.
Just off the casino floor is the Beau Rivage’s 1,550-seat theater featuring a $3 million, state-of-the-art sound and lighting system. The resort has a tradition of bringing top entertainment to the Coast nearly every weekend and past performers include Jay Leno, Tony Bennett, The Beach Boys, Olivia Newton-John, Michael Bolton, and Wayne Newton.
Dining options include BR Prime – Beau Rivage’s signature steak and seafood restaurant; Jia – Contemporary Asian cuisine including a variety of soups, salads, noodles and regional specialties from Thailand, Japan, China, Vietnam, and Hong Kong; The Buffet – A wide variety of cuisines, specialty foods and Southern favorites; Stalla -- reasonably priced, classic Italian dishes including spaghetti and meatballs, pizzas and many soups and salads; and the Terrace Café – Classic American appetizers, entrees, sandwiches, salads, and desserts.
Adjacent to the hotel lobby is a collection of 12 retail boutiques offering a collection of merchandise such as fine jewelry, menswear, women’s fashion wear, and accessories, cosmetics, children’s apparel, plus there’s a popular bargain boutique where all items are value-priced, starting at $10.
Another unique feature of Beau Rivage is its 20,000-square-foot Spa and Salon where guests can enjoy personalized treatments ranging from wraps and therapeutic massages to facials or even eyelash extensions.
There are 14 massage rooms; four facial rooms; two private pedicure rooms; one deluxe group pedicure room, that can accommodate up to five guests at one time; five manicure stations; five stylist stations; three make-up stations; a workout facility; and separate vanity areas for men and women featuring steam, sauna and whirlpool amenities.
The Spa inside Beau Rivage
Just 20 minutes north of Beau Rivage is its very own Tom Fazio-designed golf course: Fallen Oak. Here, golfers can play through one of the lushest architectural landscapes in the country with more than 1,000 mature oaks, pines, and magnolias. There’s also a 12,000-square-foot clubhouse resembling an Acadian-style mansion that features top-level dining and panoramic views of the 18th hole.
With so many things to see and do at Beau Rivage, it’s easy to see why it has been acknowledged by both Conde Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure magazines as one of the top resorts in the country.
